The Gateway Arch Park Foundation, a nonprofit organization based in St. Louis, has chosen The Cordish Companies to redevelop the Millennium Hotel property located at 200 S. 4th St., adjacent to the iconic Gateway Arch.
With a preliminary budget of $670 million, the plan includes integrating 1.3 million square feet of residential, office, commercial and public spaces in an effort to revitalize and enhance this area of St. Louis. According to Blake Cordish, Principal of The Cordish Companies: “This project will serve as a catalyst for further revitalization by connecting new and existing assets with thriving corridors.” This development is expected to attract more residents and visitors while also bringing new businesses into the area.
Some key elements proposed for this redevelopment include upscale residential units, Class A office space, public areas such as an amphitheater and food hall; event space; potential home for Gateway Arch National Park’s archives; improved streetscapes; pedestrian-friendly spaces with landscaping; as well as various art installations.
