Copper Mountain, located just an hour and 15 minutes west of Denver, is set to complete its $100 million improvement program with the opening of the new Aerie lodge in December. The two-story lodge boasts stunning panoramic views and sits atop the America Eagle lift at a prime location on Copper’s central mountain.
POWDR Corp, who owns Copper Mountain, has made significant upgrades to enhance skiers’ experiences. These include gondolas and bubbled-covered chairs on its main chairlifts – American Eagle and American Flyer – as well as electric COBUS buses for transportation around the resort.
The construction of Aerie was completed ahead of schedule this season, allowing for a soft opening during Copper Mountain’s first runs on November 12th. Next summer will see further improvements with plans to replace the existing four-person Timberline Express lift in western part of ski terrain with a faster six-person lift.
This latest investment at Copper Mountain is sure to attract even more visitors looking for top-notch skiing facilities coupled with breathtaking scenery.
