**Construction Approved for Two-Building Office and Residential Project Near Boston Landing**

A new mixed-use development is set to rise near the Boston Landing MBTA commuter rail station, adding to a surge of projects transforming the Allston neighborhood. Construction is scheduled to begin later this month on the residential portion of a two-building project spearheaded by Marblehead-based Bracken Development and Philadelphia-based Pennrose, according to the Boston Business Journal.

A construction permit has been issued for an 88-unit apartment building at 59 Everett Street. The broader development blueprint also includes a proposed 385,700 square feet of commercial space in a separate structure located at 119 Braintree Street. While the residential component has secured the necessary approval, the commercial office building is still awaiting its construction permit.

Located in a historically industrial section of Allston, the site has become a focal point for redevelopment efforts following the 2017 inauguration of the Boston Landing commuter rail station. The area is already experiencing a development boom, with multiple residential and commercial projects underway, including the transformative Allston Yards and Boston Landing developments, as well as several standalone apartment buildings within close proximity.

This latest project reflects a continued trajectory of growth and urban renewal in one of Boston’s fastest-evolving neighborhoods.
