Texas State University’s latest student housing project, Hilltop, is set to be completed by the end of the year in San Marcos. The $125 million project will consist of an 8-story residence hall with 1,006 beds and will feature a main lobby, kitchen, seminar and gaming rooms, as well as a laundry room. JT Vaughn Construction is responsible for building this impressive development.

This highly anticipated addition to the university’s campus comes at a crucial time when there has been a shortage of on-campus housing for incoming students. According to William Mattera from Texas State University,”Last year we had students staying in hotels and leasing apartments off campus due to lack of space. However with Hilltop’s completion next year, we anticipate being able to accommodate all required on-campus residents right from the start.” This much needed project marks an exciting milestone for both Texas State University and its growing student population.
