Common Bond Development Group has outlined plans for The Shops at Halo Vista, a mixed-use retail and hospitality project on an 11-acre site at the northwestern hard corner of I-17 and Dove Valley Road in North Phoenix. The planned development is positioned within Halo Vista, a 2,400-acre master-planned community described as a city within a city.
Halo Vista is being developed by Mack Real Estate Group in partnership with McCourt Partners, and The Shops at Halo Vista will be one of the early commercial components of the broader plan. The project will be located near the TSMC Campus and immediately adjacent to what is described as the area’s first Costco, tying the retail and hospitality offering into a growing employment and shopping node.
Common Bond has executed agreements for a dual-branded hotel at the site, which will deliver 253 keys under the Courtyard by Marriott and Residence Inn by Marriott flags. The hotel is planned as a central hospitality anchor for the project and is scheduled to break ground in November 2026.
Immediately to the west of the hotel, The Shops at Halo Vista is designed to incorporate a mix of lifestyle and convenience-focused uses. Plans call for a combination of retail space and patio-oriented dining options intended to support both daily needs and social gatherings for residents, workers, and visitors within the Halo Vista community and the surrounding North Phoenix area.
The retail and hospitality components are being advanced as part of the larger master plan, which aims to establish Halo Vista as a comprehensive, self-contained community. The project’s proximity to major transportation corridors and nearby employment centers is expected to help support demand for on-site dining, shopping, and lodging.
Construction on The Shops at Halo Vista is anticipated to begin in November, aligning with the planned start for the dual-branded hotel. Additional details on project phasing, tenant mix, and delivery timelines have not yet been disclosed.
