Cityview, a multifamily investment management and development firm, has recently completed Portico, a 378-unit multifamily project located in Oakland’s Brooklyn Basin master-planned community. The property is situated at 37 8th Ave., an Opportunity Zone on the Oakland Estuary. Leasing for the units has now begun with prices starting at $2,097 per month for studio apartments.
According to Cityview CEO Sean Burton, “Portico offers waterfront housing with 378 units in one of Oakland’s most rapidly growing and dynamic areas.” He further adds that their extensive experience in developing both within the Bay Area and opportunity zones enabled them to provide highly amenitized housing ideally located for the community.
Residents of Portico will have access to Brooklyn Basin’s wide range of waterfront recreational and retail amenities such as parks along the waterline, a promenade area, restored wetlands area ideal for nature lovers or outdoor enthusiasts. Additionally there will be pedestrian-friendly bicycle trails available as well as event spaces perfect for concerts or art exhibits; not forgetting over two hundred thousand square feet dedicated towards retail shopping space including dining options too! Furthermore they can also take advantage of private transit shuttle services offered by Brooklyn Basin itself.
