**Fortune 500 Company Plans $450 Million High-Tech Distribution Center in Cibolo**
A major Fortune 500 company has announced plans to develop a $450 million high-tech distribution center in Cibolo, located between San Antonio and Austin, Texas. The facility will be constructed on a 126-acre site formerly occupied by the San Antonio Raceway.
Expected to bring at least 425 full-time jobs to the area, the new development aims to offer wages exceeding the median salary in the San Antonio metro region. The distribution center will incorporate cutting-edge technologies, including robotics and advanced automated systems. Inside, robotic racking systems will reach heights of up to 120 feet, housed within a structure estimated to be 60 to 65 feet tall at its exterior.
Operators will oversee the robotic systems, ensuring smooth functionality and efficient workflow throughout the center.
In support of the project, the Cibolo City Council has approved a comprehensive incentives package. This includes a 75% property tax abatement over 10 years, a 50% rebate on the city’s maintenance and operations property tax for five years, and a performance-based sales tax incentive worth $32.5 million.
This development marks a significant investment in the region and signifies Cibolo’s growing role as a hub for next-generation logistics and distribution operations.
