CIBC Bank USA has recently announced its involvement in an affordable housing initiative in Chicago. The project, known as Boulevard Apartments Preservation, LP, will receive a total of $44.3 million from CIBC through a combination of loans and investments.

According to Tony Hernandez, head of Community Investment at CIBC Bank USA, the Boulevard Apartments project is a crucial step towards addressing the affordable housing crisis in Chicago. By acquiring and rehabilitating these units, CIBC is committed to providing stable and affordable housing options for low-income individuals and families in the community.

The project includes three buildings with 70 units ranging from studio to four-bedroom floorplans located in Logan Square, West Town and Humboldt Park neighborhoods. Renovations will include modernized appliances as well as upgrades to energy-efficient furnaces and electrical systems.
