**Sunlit Acquires 40 Acres in Casa Grande for Chemical Plant Development**
Sunlit, a Taiwan-based chemical supplier, has acquired approximately 40 acres of land near a rail line in Casa Grande, Arizona, for $9.2 million. The company plans to build a hydrofluoric acid manufacturing facility on the site to support the growing semiconductor operations of major players like TSMC and Intel in the region.
The new plant represents a strategic expansion for Sunlit, which currently operates a facility in the Deer Valley area that opened in 2024. The newly acquired land is situated within an industrial zone along the Union Pacific main line and adjacent to the recently expanded Casa Grande Yard, offering optimal transportation and logistics access for industrial operations.
Casa Grande has recently seen increased interest from international chemical manufacturing companies. In October, Brazilian firm Chlorum announced plans to invest $70 million in a new chemical production facility in the area. Additionally, KPCC Advanced Chemicals Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of the Japanese-based Kanto Group, has broken ground on the first phase of a planned $500 million chemical manufacturing complex within the Sonoran Valley Industrial Park.
As demand for semiconductor components continues to rise in the U.S., Casa Grande is solidifying its position as a strategic hub for chemical suppliers supporting the tech manufacturing ecosystem.
