Boston-based Cabot Properties has completed its first acquisition in Japan, purchasing a 220,608-square-foot, multi-story logistics warehouse in Minoh City, Osaka. The seller and purchase price were not disclosed. The acquisition of 3-4-8 Shinmachi Nishi, located within the Minoh Logistics Park, advances Cabot’s strategy of investing in high-quality industrial assets in supply-constrained markets across Europe, the U.S., and the Asia-Pacific region.
“Cabot’s entrance into the Japanese logistics market represents a key milestone in the execution of our investment strategy,” said Franz Colloredo-Mansfeld, CEO of Cabot Properties. “With teams in Japan and Australia, we believe we are well-positioned to capitalize on attractive logistics investment opportunities in what is already the largest economic region in the world. We look forward to building on this momentum in 2026 and beyond to seek out compelling investments across the top logistics markets in the U.S., Europe and APAC.”
Completed in 2021, the four-story property includes rear loading capability, 12 dock-high doors, an 18-foot clear height, 41-foot truck court depths, and 41 parking spaces. The building has earned a Comprehensive Assessment System for Built Environment Efficiency (CASBEE) A rating, recognizing its high standards of environmental performance and occupant well-being. It is fully leased to a single logistics tenant.
