Futronic USA Inc. has announced its decision to establish a new 66,000-square-foot facility in Buda, located just south of Austin. The project is estimated to cost $28 million and will create job opportunities for approximately 350 individuals. The company has been selected as a supplier for Tesla, whose multi-billion dollar plant is situated an hour north in Taylor. Futronic specializes in manufacturing motors, actuators, controllers and other components for various global automotive companies.
To support this development and encourage economic growth within the city of Buda, an agreement has been made between Futronic and the local government providing $600,000 worth of incentives over a period of 10 years – equivalent to roughly $3
