**BRIDGE Housing Celebrates Opening of Cypress View in Jordan Downs Redevelopment**

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass joined BRIDGE Housing and the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) on Tuesday to commemorate the grand opening of Cypress View, a new affordable housing development. The project is part of the ongoing $1 billion revitalization of the Jordan Downs public housing complex in the Watts neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Cypress View brings 119 new apartment homes to the community, offering residences with up to five bedrooms. Of these units, 106 are designated as affordable for families earning between 30% and 80% of the Area Median Income. One unit is reserved for onsite management, and the remaining 12 apartments are available at market rate. Importantly, 20 of the units are reserved for former Jordan Downs residents, supporting a vision of inclusive redevelopment that preserves community ties.

“The opening of Cypress View marks an exciting milestone in the decade-long revitalization of Jordan Downs that will serve families and strengthen the Watts community for generations to come,” said Ken Lombard, president and CEO of BRIDGE Housing.

Cypress View is the fourth residential development undertaken by BRIDGE Housing as part of the Jordan Downs transformation. The organization previously completed Kalmia Rose (76 apartments), Cedar Grove (115 apartments), and Park Place (80 apartments). BRIDGE Housing also has plans to construct three additional communities as part of HACLA’s overarching initiative, which represents one of the largest urban revitalization efforts in the country.
