Luxury home brand Boll & Branch is moving forward with a new brick-and-mortar location at Westfield Old Orchard in Skokie, marking the company’s first permanent store in the broader Chicagoland area. The retailer, known for its bedding and bath products, is using the opening to deepen its presence in a key Midwestern market where it reports an existing base of loyal customers.
The planned store will occupy a 1,430-square-foot space within the open-air shopping center. According to the company, the new location represents a continued commitment to physical retail as part of its growth strategy. In addition to merchandising Boll & Branch’s core bedding and bath collections, the store is expected to provide in-store design services, giving shoppers a more personalized experience that complements the brand’s product offering.
Boll & Branch currently operates 15 stores across the United States, positioning the Westfield Old Orchard location as part of a growing national footprint. The company also has three additional store openings in the pipeline, reflecting a multi-market expansion effort that builds on its existing retail base. While specific opening dates and rollout timelines were not disclosed, the brand framed the Old Orchard store as a key step in establishing a long-term presence in the Chicago area.
Katia Unlu, Chief Commercial Officer at Boll & Branch, linked the move to the company’s prior activity in the metro area. She noted that the decision to open at Westfield Old Orchard follows a successful pilot at Oakbrook Center, and characterized the Skokie location as the brand’s permanent home in the region. Unlu emphasized that the company sees its in-person stores as central to delivering a luxury retail experience and highlighted the brand’s existing customer following in the local market.
The new Boll & Branch store adds to a recent run of tenant activity at Westfield Old Orchard. The center has also welcomed designer toy brand POP MART, which opened a new store at the mall last month. Together, these additions illustrate ongoing retailer interest in the property and contribute to the evolving merchandising mix at the shopping center, particularly in categories focused on branded, experience-oriented concepts.
