The BLVD Group, a company that develops and manages affordable and workforce housing communities, recently purchased Williams Woods Apartments. This 65-unit property is located about 2.5 miles south of downtown Providence, RI. The previous owner was WinnCompanies who sold the property in an off-market transaction for an undisclosed amount. WinnResidential will continue to manage the property.

This acquisition marks BLVD’s third investment in Providence and their fifth in Rhode Island overall. Built in 2006 with funding from the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program, Williams Woods Apartments offers a mix of two- and three-bedroom townhome-style units spanning over 76,000 square feet.

According to Rob Budman, managing principal at BLVD: “We are excited to add this property to our growing portfolio of affordable and workforce housing communities.” He also stated that they are pleased to expand their presence in Providence while fulfilling their mission of providing sustainable housing options for families who need them most.
