Berkadia has completed the sale of Atria Park of San Mateo, a 135-unit assisted living and memory care community located in San Mateo along the western shores of San Francisco Bay. Details regarding the seller and final sale price were not disclosed.
The sale was closed by Berkadia Seniors Housing & Healthcare’s team, which included Managing Directors Mike Garbers, Cody Tremper, Dave Fasano, and Ross Sanders. After reviewing multiple offers, the seller chose a buyer who plans to rebrand the community as Harbor at Hillsdale.
The buyer is a partnership led by Shelter Real Estate Investment Strategies and Calson Management. Shelter Real Estate Investment Strategies is a senior living investor that partners with regional operators across the country, providing both capital and strategic resources. Calson Management is a vertically integrated senior living operator based in California, specializing in the development, construction, and long-term operation of senior housing communities.
The rebranding and new ownership aim to enhance the community’s offerings for seniors in the greater San Mateo region.
