The social media giant TikTok, owned by parent company ByteDance, is making moves to expand its presence in Bellevue. Currently finalizing a lease agreement for six floors in the Lincoln Square North tower, TikTok plans to double its current space.
This expansion comes as Microsoft recently vacated their office space in downtown Bellevue. The tech giant previously occupied 442,000 square feet of the tower but has chosen not to renew their leases along with other Seattle employers.
According to reports from Puget Sound Business Journal , this deal would bring TikTok’s total office space in Bellevue up to over 242,000 square feet. This growth can be attributed partly due to the success of TikTok’s e-commerce business after launching an online shopping feature on their app.
In recent news from Connect CRE , it has been revealed that popular social media platform TikTok is planning an expansion into former Microsoft offices located within Lincoln Square North tower. Owned by parent company ByteDance and currently occupying more than 110,000 square feet at Key Center building; this move will see them doubling their existing footprint with a new lease for six floors at Lincoln Square North.
