Bastrop, Texas is gearing up for the arrival of SpaceX and Boring Company facilities with a new project set to begin construction this October. The town planners are expecting 400 apartments spread across 17 three-story buildings, as well as a one-story wood frame clubhouse and amenity center, 17 carports, two kiosk buildings and a maintenance building. This estimated $70 million project is expected to be completed by October 2025.
In addition to the upcoming development in Pecan Park area of Bastrop County, work began on Adelton -a 348-acre residential neighborhood with commercial components – in October 2020 while Wood Partners and SCOA Real Estate Partners announced plans for 342 luxury apartment units in May 2021. Furthermore an auction was held recently for 49 acres suitable for 426 duplex units or 214 duplex units plus 380 apartments located next door to Elon Musk’s facilities.
The influx of these projects will bring much needed growth opportunities that have been anticipated since Bastrop was chosen as plant sites for SpaceX/Starlink (see photo).
