**AT&T to Relocate Global Headquarters to Plano’s Legacy District**

AT&T is set to move its global headquarters from Downtown Dallas to a new 54-acre campus in Plano’s Legacy District. The new location will be at 5400 Legacy Drive, situated at the intersection of Parkwood Boulevard and Legacy Drive.

AT&T has maintained its headquarters in Downtown Dallas since 2008, leasing four towers totaling two million square feet. The shift to Plano marks a significant transition for the telecommunications giant.

The new site has a rich history, originally developed in 1985 as the headquarters for Ross Perot’s Electronic Data Systems (EDS). That development played a pivotal role in establishing northwest Plano as a national business hub.

In the years since, the Legacy area has expanded into a thriving 2,500-acre center of retail and corporate activity. However, the former EDS campus itself has been vacant for more than six years.

This relocation represents a major milestone in the evolution of Plano’s business community and reflects broader trends in corporate migration toward more suburban, campus-like environments.
