AmTrust RE’s $50 million capital improvements program at two of its downtown Chicago office properties has proven to be a successful investment. In September 2023, the firm announced plans for major overhauls at 33 North Dearborn and One East Wacker.
Recently, AmTrust completed two office renewals totaling over 20,000 square feet of space at their 330,000-square-foot property in the Central Loop. The building offers amenities such as a fitness center, conference space and street-level retail. Heyl Royster Voelker & Allen P.C. and KIPP Foundation have both renewed their leases for spaces measuring13,383 square feet and6 ,617 square feet respectively.
According to President Jonathan Bennett of AmTrust RE,”Our Chicago properties continue to meet the needs of today’s tenants,and our ongoing capital improvements program will further solidify this office property’s appeal.” Construction is currently underway as part of the company’s initial stage in fulfilling its $100 million commitment towards upgrading its portfolio in Chicago.
