Developers of Scottsdale’s Arizona Boardwalk have recently acquired 48 acres of land, and the Phoenix Business Journal reports that it will likely be used to create innovative and fun experiences. Located on Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community land along the Loop 101 freeway, this parcel is north of popular attractions such as OdySea Aquarium, Butterfly Wonderland, Pangea Land of the Dinosaurs and Museum of Illusions.
The group already controls 37 acres; 2.5 are set aside for a 155-key Hyatt Place Hotel which is expected to open early next year. The property lies just north Talking Stick Resort and The Sydney – an entertainment venue from Palmer Development Group worth nearly $100 million – while Caliber Cos has also closed on nearby property with plans for bars, restaurants and other forms entertainment in the area.
This acquisition marks yet another step towards creating a vibrant hub for family friendly activities in Scottsdale!
