3 Labs, LLC has recently acquired the former Botto’s Bakery located at 550 Washington Avenue for $980,000. The buyer plans to renovate the 9,045-square-foot building and lease out retail suites.
In 2022, Botto’s expanded its operations by leasing a facility at 5 Karen Drive in Westbrook, Maine. This addition of 5,000 square feet has greatly increased efficiency in all departments and provided better buy-power on bulk ingredients according to owner Steve Mathews. Production is expected to increase by up to 25% compared to last year thanks in part to the assistance of Craig Young and Sasha Phillips from The Boulos Company who helped facilitate this move.
