3 Labs, LLC has recently acquired the former Botto’s Bakery located at 550 Washington Avenue for $980,000. The buyer plans to renovate the 9,045-square-foot building and lease out retail suites.
In 2022, Botto’s expanded its operations by leasing a facility at 5 Karen Drive in Westbrook, Maine. This addition of 5,000 square feet has greatly increased efficiency in all departments and provided better buy-power on bulk ingredients according to owner Steve Mathews. Production is expected to increase by up to 25% compared to last year thanks in part to the assistance of Craig Young and Sasha Phillips from The Boulos Company who helped facilitate this move.
The sale was made possible with the help of Craig Young and Sasha Phillips from The Boulos Company representing Botto’s while Josh Soley from MRA represented the buyer.
