The sale of the I-64 Commerce Center in Louisville, Kentucky’s logistics market has been successfully completed by Colliers. The property spans 1,052,831 square feet and is currently fully leased to Canadian Solar – a leading company in solar and renewable energy. Facilitating the transaction on behalf of Flint Development (a commercial real estate firm specializing in industrial and multifamily projects across the U.S.) was Colliers’ Midwest Investment Services Team led by Alex Cantu, Alex Davenport, Jeff Devine, and Steven Disse.
W.P. Carey acquired this facility located at 139 Logistics Drive in Shelbyville from Flint Development. This distribution center serves as an important location for Canadian Solar’s new $800 million manufacturing plant situated nearby Jeffersonville Indiana.
Constructed recently in 2023 with state-of-the-art features such as a cross-dock design with a clear height of 40′, ESFR sprinkling system installed throughout its premises; it also boasts ample parking space including 348 auto spaces along with an additional capacity for up to230 trailers parked simultaneously while maintaining smooth circulation within its vicinity.
Canadian Solar plans to invest approximately $500 million into this facility which will serve as their primary battery assembly unit within United States territory.
