Expansive entertainment venues located near major league stadiums and arenas have become increasingly common. Examples include LA Live in Los Angeles and the Hub on Causeway in Boston. Now, a well-known Utah businessman is hoping to replicate this success with a minor league venue.

Larry H. Miller Real Estate has broken ground on Phase 1 of Downtown Daybreak, a mixed-use development in South Jordan, Utah. This phase will feature a new ballpark for the Salt Lake Bees, the Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels. Along with the ballpark, there will also be an upscale Megaplex Entertainment venue that will serve as a regional anchor for this nearly 200-acre project.

The first phase of Downtown Daybreak includes luxurious amenities such as eight to ten movie screens with premium seating options, 16 to 20 luxury bowling lanes complete with laneside dining service, state-of-the-art arcade games and sports-themed lounge featuring an in-house chef and scratch kitchen. Additionally, private dining areas along with event spaces are available for parties or other gatherings.

Construction is expected to be completed by early 2025.
