Elin Energy, the largest solar panel manufacturer in Europe, has announced plans to establish a new manufacturing operation in Waller County. This decision was made possible by an economic development package approved by the Waller County Commissioners Court. The company, based in Turkey and known as Sirius PV in the US market, will be located at Twinwood Business Park just south of I-10 and west of Houston.

The state-of-the-art facility is expected to begin operations in early 2024 and will initially create job opportunities for approximately 100 individuals. Over time, Elin plans to expand its workforce to around 450 employees within seven years. With an estimated investment of $35 million over the next decade on new manufacturing equipment, this plant will have a production capacity of 2 gigawatts per year.

This exciting news showcases Elin’s commitment towards sustainable energy solutions while also boosting economic growth for Waller County.
