Academy Sports & Outdoors has recently expanded its presence in Texas with the opening of two new locations in Brenham and Kyle. These additions mark the fourth and fifth store openings for the company this year, bringing their total number of stores to 109 in Texas and 273 nationwide.
The Brenham location boasts a spacious 63,000 square feet while the Kyle store measures at 56,000 square feet. In addition to providing convenient shopping options for local residents, each new location has created approximately 60 job opportunities.
Looking ahead, Academy plans to continue growing its national footprint by adding between 120-140 more stores by the end of 2027. The company’s current focus is on expanding within their Southeast market where they see potential for an additional50-60 stores.
In addition to these recent expansions, Academy will also be opening its first Hutto location this fall. With over2,500 employees nationwide already on board with Academy Sports & Outdoors,the company remains committed to providing quality products and services across all their locations.
