All U.S. commercial property sectors experienced annual price declines in July as deal activity dropped to its lowest level since the start of the pandemic in early 2020, according to MSCI Real Assets. The RCA CPPI National All-Property Index decreased 9.6% year-over-year, a smaller decline than June’s 10.2%, and rose 0.3% from June’s figure .

Apartment properties saw the largest annual drop at 12.2%. Despite three consecutive months of double digit decreases, this sector remains 21% higher than April 2020 when COVID first impacted pricing, said MSCI .
Retail prices fell 8
