Expertly designed retail, housing and hotel spaces are headed for Richardson’s DART station. According to the Dallas Morning News, up to 4,000 apartment units, 40,000 square feet of retail space and 500,000 square feet of office space will be built on a 36-acre parcel near the Silver Line. The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) and local developer Wolverine Interests have joined forces on this project which is expected to include two hotels as well.

The initial design features seven buildings with an expansive open area facing the new DART station; 15 acres owned by Wolverine while UTD owns property along the tract. Last month saw Richardson’s planning & zoning commission unanimously approve a proposed zoning change for this development which is set to go before city council in September 2020.
