George Kurtz, the founder of CrowdStrike, is no stranger to ambitious ideas. He recently acquired 28 acres of a shuttered amusement park in Scottsdale for $55 million with plans to transform it into “The Parque” – a 2 million-square-foot mixed-use campus. The proposed project includes 1,200 residential units through multifamily housing, condominiums and workforce housing; 100,000 square feet for office space; 30,000 square feet dedicated to restaurants; 25,000 additional square feet for retail outlets; 223 five-star hotel rooms and 92 500 flexible spaces. Additionally there will be an open space “Central Park” at the center of the development which has been described as its focal point.
Kurtz’s team consists of himself and David Megdal while Nelsen Partners have been appointed as architects on this billion dollar project that promises significant investment into Scottsdale’s economy when completed.
