Caliber is moving forward with two new Hyatt Studios hotels, one in Steamboat Springs and another in Scottsdale, AZ, expanding the upper-midscale extended-stay flag into both markets. The Steamboat Springs project has reached a key milestone, with acquisition and construction financing closing in April 2026 and site work expected to begin during the second quarter of 2026.

The Steamboat Springs Hyatt Studios is fully entitled and progressing toward the start of construction. Zoning approvals are in place, a general contractor has been engaged, and funding for construction closed in April 2026. With those components secured, Caliber expects construction to commence this month and projects completion in the second quarter of 2027.

Hyatt Studios is Hyatt’s upper-midscale extended-stay brand, introduced in 2023 to target guests seeking longer stays. The brand’s prototype focuses on studio-apartment-style suites with kitchenettes, complimentary grab-and-go breakfast, a 24/7 market, on-site laundry facilities, and a fitness center, aiming to balance operational efficiency with an amenity set tailored to extended-stay demand.

Caliber is also planning a Hyatt Studios at its Riverwalk / Scottsdale, AZ site. The Scottsdale development is controlled through a long-term lease, giving Caliber site control as it advances the hospitality component of the Riverwalk location. While the project remains in the approvals phase, the company has outlined a path through local review processes.

For the Riverwalk / Scottsdale Hyatt Studios, Caliber anticipates securing town approvals for design review (DR) and a conditional use permit (CUP) by the third quarter of 2026. Entitlement steps and municipal review remain underway, and the outcome of those approvals will shape the development timeline for the Scottsdale hotel.

Together, the Steamboat Springs and Scottsdale projects illustrate Caliber’s focus on extended-stay hospitality, pairing an emerging brand with locations where entitlement progress and construction financing are establishing clearer visibility on delivery for at least one of the planned hotels.
