The firm promoted Karla Galva, who joined Essex in 2022 as an associate on the suburban team and has become a key contributor to its suburban investment sales efforts, with responsibilities spanning asset valuation, market research and business development for multifamily and mixed-use investment properties. Essex also elevated Jimmy Donahue, who came on board in 2024 and concentrates on the acquisition and disposition of multifamily assets in Chicago’s South and West suburbs, reflecting the firm’s ongoing focus on suburban multifamily transactions.

JLL has made a senior leadership appointment within its Financial Services division. The firm named Mark Kreisman as Global Division President for Financial Services, giving him executive oversight of a global corporate real estate portfolio of approximately one billion square feet. He will guide banking, financial services, investment management, fintech and insurance clients across JLL’s platform. Over an 18-year tenure with the company, Kreisman has held multiple senior leadership posts and most recently served as JLL’s Global Head of Corporate Real Estate, overseeing the firm’s global property portfolio across more than 80 countries.
