Rosewood Property Group has secured approval from the City of Plano to modify the master plan for Heritage Creekside, a 156-acre mixed-use district at the intersection of Plano Parkway and Alma Drive. According to Community Impact, the updated framework permits additional residential, retail, and commercial uses within the project, further expanding the scope of the long-running development.
With the revised plan in place, Rosewood is moving ahead with The Buckley, a 338-unit apartment community within Heritage Creekside. The Buckley will follow The Ludlow, a 326-unit multifamily property that the company has already completed on the same site. Both communities are part of the broader multifamily build-out contemplated for the district, which is now planned to include 2,000 multifamily units at full build-out.
Rosewood is retaining the same project team it used on The Ludlow for The Buckley. Hensley, Lamkin, Rachel Inc. is serving as architect for the new apartment development, Provident General Contractors is overseeing construction, and Broadway Bank is identified as the lender of record on the project. The continuity of the team suggests a consistent approach to design, construction, and financing execution across phases of the multifamily program at Heritage Creekside.
Heritage Creekside was originally established as a mixed-use district in 2014 and has undergone several plan modifications over the years. The latest amendment refines the mix and intensity of uses, with a significant multifamily component supported by an expanding base of neighborhood-serving retail and commercial space. A handful of retail buildings have already been delivered, and the plan envisions more than 100,000 square feet of retail space once the project reaches full build-out.
As Heritage Creekside evolves under the updated master plan, the district is positioned to add meaningful new housing supply alongside retail and commercial offerings. The recent city approval and ongoing multifamily construction underscore the continued build-out of one of Plano’s notable mixed-use developments.
