Trilogy Investment Company has secured construction financing and commenced work on REV3 at Walnut Creek, a build-to-rent townhome community planned for Northeast Austin, Texas. The project is designed as a 190-unit rental neighborhood and marks a new phase of residential development in a rapidly growing part of the city.
Horizontal construction for REV3 at Walnut Creek is scheduled to begin this month, advancing the first phase of the build-out. The timing positions the community to deliver new rental housing into the Northeast Austin submarket, which has been seeing increased activity alongside broader regional growth.
The site is located near Samsung’s semiconductor campus, tying the community to one of the area’s largest employment drivers. Samsung’s expansion in nearby Taylor represents a multi-billion-dollar investment that is expected to generate thousands of direct and indirect jobs over time, supporting the long-term economic fundamentals underpinning housing demand in the region.
The planned 190-unit community will be composed entirely of three-bedroom townhomes. Residences are expected to average approximately 1,493 square feet, providing larger-format rental housing than is typical of conventional multifamily apartments. Each townhome is slated to include an attached one-car garage, open-concept interior layouts, and modern finishes intended to deliver the spatial feel of a single-family home while maintaining the flexibility of a rental product.
REV3 Homes, a division of Trilogy Investment Company, will serve as the builder for the project. This internal construction role keeps delivery within the Trilogy platform as work moves from site preparation through vertical development.
According to the current schedule, leasing at REV3 at Walnut Creek is anticipated to begin in the third quarter of 2027. Full completion of the community is slated for late in the second quarter of 2028, setting a multi-year development and lease-up timeline as Northeast Austin continues to evolve around major corporate and industrial investments.
