Peregrine Hospitality has expanded its national hotel portfolio with the purchase of two boutique properties in Northern California, acquiring The Lodge at Tiburon in Tiburon and the Toll House Hotel in Los Gatos. The company, described as a full-service hospitality owner-operator of 57 hotels and resorts across the country, did not disclose financial terms of the transactions.
The Lodge at Tiburon is positioned on a three-acre site overlooking San Francisco Bay, giving the property a location that serves both leisure and business demand. The hotel comprises 104 guest rooms, with most offering private balconies, and is programmed with approximately 10,000 square feet of flexible meeting space. Of that total, 5,000 square feet is described as indoor meeting space, with the balance accommodating other configurations for groups and events. This combination of guestrooms and meeting space puts the property in position to serve corporate, group and social business in addition to independent travelers.
The Toll House Hotel sits in the historic area of Los Gatos and is characterized as a 115-key boutique asset. The property underwent a renovation in 2021, refreshing the hotel prior to this most recent change in ownership. Toll House offers 6,300 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor meeting space, giving it the ability to host a range of corporate and social functions. Onsite amenities at the hotel include a fitness center and business center, along with dining options located on the property, aligning it with expectations for full-service boutique hospitality in established suburban downtowns.
In a statement on the acquisitions, Greg Kennealey, CEO of Peregrine Hospitality, said the hotels are exceptionally well-located and fit the company’s strategy of enhancing guest experiences while supporting long-term asset value. He emphasized that both Tiburon and Los Gatos are considered high-demand markets that draw leisure and corporate travelers year-round, framing the investments as aligned with stable and diversified lodging demand profiles. The transactions add two renovated and well-amenitized properties to Peregrine Hospitality’s national footprint, increasing its presence in Northern California’s established coastal and suburban submarkets.
