**Sage Investment Group to Convert Issaquah Motel 6 into Workforce Housing**
Sage Investment Group has officially acquired a Motel 6 property in Issaquah, Washington, with plans to transform the site into 103 studio rental apartments. The purchase price for the motel was $9.7 million.
Located at 1885 15th Place NW, the former motel will be fully redeveloped. Each unit will be renovated to include kitchen spaces, and shared amenity areas will also undergo upgrades. Planned improvements include the addition of onsite laundry facilities, a club room, an outdoor patio area, and a leasing office. Construction is expected to begin in the summer of 2026.
The Issaquah area is known for its high cost of living, limited housing supply, and low vacancy rates. The site’s proximity—just half a mile—to Costco’s corporate headquarters, which employs around 2,100 people, makes it an ideal location for workforce housing.
Sage Investment Group specializes in adaptive reuse projects aimed at creating attainable housing. This latest initiative follows its recent $9.5 million acquisition of a 39,600-square-foot Econo Lodge in Everett, Washington. That property is slated for conversion into 124 studio apartments.
This project highlights Sage’s continued commitment to addressing housing affordability through innovative redevelopment of underutilized properties.
