**Baptist Health to Develop Dual-Branded 15-Story Hotel in Jacksonville**
Baptist Health has announced plans to construct a 15-story, dual-branded hotel on Jacksonville’s Southbank. This new development comes as part of the organization’s commitment to supporting patients and their families, following the lead of the Mayo Clinic, which opened a similar facility last year to accommodate loved ones of patients receiving care.
The $110 million project will include two hotels under the Marriott umbrella, totaling 226 rooms. One hotel will be an Element by Westin extended-stay hotel, designed for families needing longer-term accommodations. The other will be part of Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio, known for its distinctive, independent boutique properties.
In addition to lodging, the building will feature a rooftop restaurant and an outdoor terrace, both offering scenic views of the St. Johns River and open to the public.
This hotel development follows significant healthcare investment in the region. In September 2025, Baptist Health broke ground on the McGehee Family Tower, a $190 million, four-story emergency facility spanning 123,000 square feet.
These projects reflect Baptist Health’s evolving strategy to create a more integrated, supportive environment for patients, families, and the Jacksonville community.
