**Seabrook Town Center Mixed-Use Development Breaks Ground on Galveston Bay**

Construction has officially begun on Seabrook Town Center, a 19.5-acre mixed-use development situated in Seabrook along Galveston Bay. The project will feature a 320-unit apartment complex alongside 28,500 square feet of space designated for retail, dining, and office use.

Developed by HS Development Group, the firm acquired the property in 2022 and has since been focused on securing financing, obtaining entitlements, and completing the permitting process. HS Development Group has partnered with NHK Real Estate Investments as an equity partner, while First Horizon Bank is providing construction financing for the estimated $85 million project.

The development will include two buildings for retail and restaurant use, totaling approximately 20,000 square feet, which are already 55% pre-leased. Additionally, plans call for a 7,500-square-foot building located off State Highway 146, another 5,000-square-foot building facing Lakeside Drive, and four pad sites fronting Highway 146 intended for future development.

The residential portion of the project, to be called The Edge at Seabrook Town Centre, is expected to be completed in roughly eight to nine months. Full completion of the entire Seabrook Town Center development is projected for the second quarter of 2028.
