**Ecor Global to Build $170M Manufacturing Facility Near San Antonio**
Ecor Global, a sustainable building materials company, has announced plans to invest $170 million in a new manufacturing facility in Elmendorf, near San Antonio. The company is set to break ground at Mission Rail Park, located in southeast Bexar County.
The facility will initially span 300,000 square feet, with a planned expansion of an additional 240,000 square feet. At full buildout, the plant is expected to employ approximately 150 workers.
Ecor Global specializes in converting agricultural waste into recyclable composite panels that serve as sustainable alternatives to plywood. This new Texas facility marks the company’s first U.S. location, adding to its two existing operations in Serbia.
The project has been bolstered by more than $2.2 million in incentives approved by Bexar County in early 2025. While Ecor has secured $100 million in financing from the Texas State Bond Board, the company is currently in the process of raising additional equity funding to move forward with construction.
