**Chicago Stars Unveil Plans for $30M Performance Center in Bannockburn**

The Chicago Stars have announced plans to construct a $30-million performance center on a 10-acre site in Bannockburn, Illinois. Developed in partnership with Populous and Marquee Development, the new facility will serve as a state-of-the-art training hub for the team.

Designed with a sustainable infrastructure, the performance center will feature two full-size soccer pitches and one goalkeeper-specific pitch. At the heart of the facility will be a 45,000-square-foot adaptive reuse building, complete with advanced recovery amenities and a weight room with both indoor and outdoor access. Construction is scheduled to begin in Spring 2026, with a projected opening in 2027, when the center is expected to begin hosting full team training operations.

“This facility will set the standard in women’s professional soccer by providing the infrastructure our players need to develop to their highest level of performance,” said Laura Ricketts, executive chairperson of the Chicago Stars.

The Bannockburn site was selected due to its proximity to the team’s new home stadium, Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium in Evanston. The location ensures convenient access between the stadium and the training complex as the club continues to expand its brand and operational footprint in the region.
