**Toyo Co. Expands U.S. Solar Panel Operations in Humble, Texas**
Toyo Co. is ramping up operations at its new flagship U.S. solar module manufacturing facility located in Humble, Texas. The plant is being developed by Lovett Industrial as part of the Nexus North Logistics Park and spans 567,140 square feet. Over a 10-year lease period, total rent is projected to be approximately $46.68 million.
The company recently began production at the site, which has an initial capacity to produce up to 1 gigawatt (GW) of solar modules annually. However, Toyo has plans to significantly expand that capacity to as much as 3.2 GW per year.
Currently, only one assembly line is operational. As Toyo brings additional lines online, the facility is expected to grow its workforce substantially. With five fully functioning assembly lines, employment at the plant could rise to 750 workers on the manufacturing floor.
This expansion underscores Toyo’s commitment to expanding its U.S. manufacturing presence and contributing to the growing demand for renewable energy solutions in North America.
