**Lever House Reaches Full Occupancy Following $100M Renovation**
Lever House, the iconic office building located at 390 Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan, is now fully leased following a $100 million renovation and restoration led by Brookfield Properties and Waterman Interests, LLC.
Acquired in May 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 1952-vintage landmark building has undergone a major transformation aimed at blending its rich architectural history with the demands of the modern workplace. Today, its tenant roster includes leading global banks, hedge funds, private equity firms, and distinguished family offices.
Philip “Tod” Waterman III, CEO of Waterman Interests, emphasized the strategic value of revitalizing legacy assets. “This redevelopment reflects our firm’s broader strategy of unlocking the potential of existing assets. Lever House is a prime example of how thoughtful reinvestment, when paired with a deep understanding of tenant needs, can reposition a property to compete at the highest level in today’s market,” he said.
Brookfield Properties managing partner Loren Young added, “Our revitalization of Lever House has created an elevated benchmark for premier office and hospitality space in Midtown Manhattan.”
The successful leasing of the property marks a significant milestone for both firms, reaffirming the viability of well-executed redevelopment projects in New York City’s competitive office market.
