Cushman & Wakefield Awarded Leasing Assignment for Chicago’s NBC Tower
Cushman & Wakefield has been selected to handle the office leasing for the iconic NBC Tower in downtown Chicago.
The historic 37-story skyscraper, located at 455 N. Cityfront Plaza Drive, is a prominent fixture in the Cityfront Center area, just east of the Magnificent Mile. It has long served as the home of NBC Chicago’s WMAQ-TV. The building is owned by Chicago-based Metropolis Investment Holdings Inc., and the leasing efforts will be led by Cushman & Wakefield professionals Mason Taylor, Karoline Eigel, and Paige Krueger.
Spanning nearly 900,000 square feet, NBC Tower recently underwent an extensive renovation of its amenity spaces. “The property itself offers tenants a distinct advantage, combining best-in-class amenities, generous and highly customizable floorplates, and stunning views from a truly signature city landmark,” said Taylor.
Designed by renowned architectural firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, NBC Tower was built in a post-modern Art Deco style as part of a multi-phase, 50-acre development that serves as a vital connection between Chicago’s Near North Side and the Loop.
