Cushman & Wakefield Advises on $91M Financing for One America Plaza

Cushman & Wakefield has successfully advised Saca Capital in securing a $91 million financing package from Rialto-Hines for One America Plaza, a premier Class A office tower located at 600 W Broadway in Downtown San Diego. The financing team from Cushman & Wakefield’s Equity, Debt & Structured Finance division — including Rob Rubano, J.P. LeVeque, Ernesto Sanchez, and Lars Weston — represented the borrower in the transaction. Saca Capital acquired the iconic property for a reported $120 million.

“This execution reflects the current strength and liquidity of the credit markets and underscores the lender demand for best-in-class office financing opportunities,” stated Rob Rubano. “One America Plaza stands as a premier market-leading asset and this financing will support its continued success in the competitive San Diego office market.”

As the tallest building in San Diego, One America Plaza holds a prominent position in the city’s skyline and is considered one of the most desirable office addresses within its submarket. The building was previously owned by the Irvine Company, which had invested extensively in the property over nearly two decades of ownership.

This landmark transaction highlights continued investor interest in trophy office assets in core urban markets, showcasing confidence in the long-term viability of top-tier real estate even amid changing market dynamics.
