**Work Progresses Rapidly on New Las Vegas A’s Stadium**
Construction is well underway on the future home of the Las Vegas A’s, following the recent demolition of the iconic Tropicana Hotel. Just days after the site was cleared, crews moved quickly to begin work on the new stadium, and significant progress is already visible at the site.
Recently, concrete pouring has been a primary focus, with dozens of columns already completed and the first buttress topped. The lower-level concourse is beginning to take shape along the southeast corner of the site. Once concrete work is completed, attention will shift to the installation of the primary steel structure and construction of the seating above the main concourse.
To date, the A’s have filed building permits totaling over $901.8 million.
The $1.75 billion ballpark will have a seating capacity of 33,000. A public contribution of $380 million is helping to finance the project. In addition to its fan-friendly design, the stadium will boast a distinctive architectural feature — a roof designed with a “spherical armadillo” look.
The new stadium represents a major milestone for the relocation of the A’s to Las Vegas and underscores the city’s growing influence in the world of professional sports.
