**ASU Launches $100 Million Renovation of Desert Financial Arena**

Arizona State University has announced a comprehensive, multi-year renovation project for Desert Financial Arena, home to the Sun Devils’ men’s and women’s basketball teams, as well as volleyball, gymnastics, and wrestling. The extensive upgrade is expected to cost $100 million and will proceed in phases, with an anticipated completion date of December 2029. Final project approval is pending from the Arizona Board of Regents.

Key features of the renovation include:

– New loge boxes with seating for 120 guests, complete with TV screens and small tables for food and drinks
– Club-level seating and premium floor seats for an enhanced fan experience
– A brand-new playing court
– Upgraded concessions with expanded menu offerings
– An all-new video board for improved game presentation

Construction is scheduled to begin in May 2026. The first phase of work includes replacing the arena court and installing 729 padded seats in the lower bowl.

Subsequent phases will add a court-level club, which will be accessible to premium ticket holders, and further enhancements to dining and viewing areas throughout the venue.

The upgrades reflect ASU’s commitment to providing a modern, fan-focused environment while enhancing the competitive edge of its athletic programs.
