**Hoque Global Advances $50M Affordable Housing Development in Southern Dallas**
Hoque Global is awaiting a final vote from the Dallas City Council on a $50 million loan that would support the construction of a 360-unit affordable housing complex in southern Dallas. In partnership with Streamline Advisory Partners, the company plans to launch Tapestry at University Hills, which would mark the first multifamily project within the broader University Hills development.
Earlier this month, the Dallas Housing Finance Corporation approved the loan, moving it forward to city officials for a final decision.
The Tapestry at University Hills will be situated near the northwest corner of South Lancaster Road and East Wheatland Road. The project will offer a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartment units, designated for households earning up to 60% of the area median income. The developers anticipate breaking ground on the project in the second or third quarter of 2026, with the first units expected to be delivered by mid-2027.
Located near the University of North Texas at Dallas, the Tapestry community will be part of a larger 270-acre, mixed-use development. The master plan for University Hills includes 1.5 million square feet of commercial space and a hotel, alongside the planned residential components.
