**Gwynedd Mercy University Unveils Frances M. Maguire ’55 Healthcare Innovation Center**

Gwynedd Mercy University (GMercyU) has officially opened the Frances M. Maguire ’55 Healthcare Innovation Center, a cutting-edge, 63,000-square-foot academic facility designed to advance healthcare education and training.

The $23.5 million project was made possible in part by a generous $10 million donation from the Maguire Foundation. The new center welcomed students this fall and features a range of high-tech learning environments, including nine skills labs and 15 simulation rooms aimed at enhancing clinical training. In addition, the facility includes the Frances Cannata Stimmler ’66 and Joseph Stimmler Inspiration Station—a multifunctional space designed for large-scale healthcare simulations—as well as a two-story collaborative atrium that fosters interdisciplinary learning and innovation.

“For more than 70 years, GMercyU has distinguished itself as a leader in preparing healthcare professionals who combine clinical excellence with genuine compassion,” said Deanne H. D’Emilio, JD, president of GMercyU. “With the opening of the Frances M. Maguire Healthcare Innovation Center, we are extending that legacy and positioning our students to meet today’s workforce demands and shape tomorrow’s care.”

The Frances M. Maguire ’55 Healthcare Innovation Center marks a major milestone in Gwynedd Mercy University’s mission to deliver exceptional healthcare education and meet the growing needs of the healthcare industry.
