Red Mountain Group Sells 548,000-Square-Foot Retail Center in Algonquin for $100 Million
Red Mountain Group, Inc. has announced the successful sale of Algonquin Commons, a 548,000-square-foot shopping center located in Algonquin, Illinois. The retail property was purchased by Nuveen Real Estate for $100 million.
The transaction was facilitated exclusively by Bill Bauman, Keely Polczynski, Kyle Miller, and Conor Lalor of Newmark.
Strategically positioned along Randall Road—one of the Chicago area’s most prominent suburban retail corridors—Algonquin Commons boasts a robust tenant roster that includes Trader Joe’s, The Fresh Market, Nordstrom Rack, Bob’s Discount Furniture, Ulta Beauty, Old Navy, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and Barnes & Noble.
Since acquiring the property, Red Mountain Group has made significant efforts to reposition and stabilize the center. “Through extremely creative deal-making strategies, relentless tenacity, and lots of hard work, our leasing team was able to attract the strongest mix of tenants, elevate the communal shopping experience, and position the property for long-term success for the Village of Algonquin,” said Michael Mugel, CEO and Owner of Red Mountain Group.
The sale of Algonquin Commons marks a strategic milestone for both companies and reflects the continued investor interest in high-performing retail centers in suburban markets.
