**GTZ Property Group Acquires Former Lansing Car Dealership for Retail Redevelopment**

GTZ Property Group has acquired the former University Motor Mall property located at 6120 S. Cedar Street in Lansing, Michigan, signaling plans for a new retail development.

The site, originally established in the 1950s as University Oldsmobile, has served various dealership brands over the decades. Operations at the property ceased recently, as ownership opted to sell for redevelopment. With demolition currently underway, construction of a new Chick-fil-A is scheduled to begin soon on the southern section of the property. The restaurant is anticipated to open in Spring 2026.

“We looked past the dilapidated buildings and saw a prime retail location in a high-traffic, growing retail trade area,” said GTZ Co-founder Jeremy Forman.
