**Logos Faith Development to Deploy Model/Z Modular Construction in South LA**
Logos Faith Development, a Los Angeles-based real estate development firm focused on transforming underused church properties into affordable housing, has announced plans to utilize Model/Z modular housing units for upcoming projects. The firm is among the early adopters of Model/Z, a modular home manufacturer based in Los Angeles.
Model/Z was founded by affordable housing leaders Martin Muoto and Gray Lusk, who launched the company with the goal of creating faster, more cost-effective, and environmentally sustainable housing compared to traditional construction methods.
The first collaboration between Logos Faith Development and Model/Z will be a 91-unit, five-story affordable apartment complex located at 105th Street and Central Avenue in South Los Angeles. Site work is expected to begin in 2026, with initial occupancy set for later that year.
“We are excited to be using the Model/Z modular units and its Z/Suite technology on Logos’ 105th and Central project,” said Pastor Martin Porter, founder and CEO of Logos Faith Development. “We look forward to leveraging the high quality, price certainty, and efficiency that Model/Z offers for new construction projects. Martin Muoto and I have been collaborators for more than five years now, and we share a passion for creating housing solutions for the most vulnerable members of society.”
