**Sam’s Club to Join Katy’s Texas Heritage Marketplace Development**
Sam’s Club has officially submitted plans to build a 167,990-square-foot store at Texas Heritage Marketplace, a major new mixed-use development located at 29153 Katy Freeway in Katy, Texas. The site is part of NewQuest Properties’ ambitious project at the southeastern corner of Interstate 10 and Texas Heritage Parkway in Waller County.
The development, currently under construction, spans 165 acres and carries an estimated investment of $400 million. Once complete, it is expected to feature approximately 750,000 square feet of retail space, 300,000 square feet of medical office and self-storage space, and a pair of apartment complexes totaling 550 residential units.
BRR Architecture has been named as the design firm for the Sam’s Club project.
Target has already signed on as an anchor tenant with plans for a 149,000-square-foot store. Other confirmed tenants at Texas Heritage Marketplace include EoS Fitness, America’s Best Contacts and Eyeglasses, Milano Nail Spa, and Aji Izakaya.
The first group of tenants is anticipated to open in 2025, with full build-out and occupancy expected by 2027.
